ECCO European Championships
Herning, Denmark
August 20-25, 2013
The European Championships in Dressage and Jumping take place this summer at Herning in Denmark, August 20-25. The IAEJ is looking to appoint both journalist and photographer representatives for the championships. If you would like to volunteer for either position please contact Pamela Young. Reps should have championship experience, be fully versed in the FEI Media Guidelines and preferably, be from the host country, or near enough for a site visit before the championships.
The press officer for Herning is Britt Carlsen. She reports that the organizers are meeting over the weekend of February 2-3. After this meeting they hope to open accreditation for the media. The accreditation form will have a section on accommodation where media can request a room(s) in the media hotels. A free shuttle service will operate between hotels and show grounds at various times during the day. When your application for accreditation is confirmed, you will get a booking code allowing you to book a room at any of the Official Media hotels. During the event, the very experienced, Edith De Reys will be in charge of the press center in collaboration with Christel Kr�¸yer (press officer at Odense) and Rikke H�¸jgaard, director of Press Relations at the Danish Equestrian Federation.
The three hotels on offer for the press, with shuttleservice are:
- Vejles�¸hus from 80 to 134 euros
- Scandic Silkeborg from 167 to 193 euros
- Hotel PejsegÃ?Â¥rden from 135 euros
